All in all it's been two weeks with limited amount of time for personal "distractions" in the form of projects and coding projects, hence not a lot to write about.

Tinkering with Home Assistant

Finally decided to buy a bunch of cameras (namely a Reolink P330 and TP-Link Vigi) with the goal of adding DVR functionality to my NAS/Jellyfin server. Well, that's step 1, now step 2 is wiring the cameras, which I am not looking forward to and then setting up the actual DVR (with Frigate).

Additionally, got my NAS to work with the smart plug, to automate turning it on. Yes, getting Wake-on-LAN was too hard so instead I've plugged in the NAS into a smart plug and turned on "power on after power loss" in BIOS and voila, I can now remotely turn it on by simply cycling the plug off and on again. Turning off is still SSH driven unfortunately, but nothing is preventing me from setting up some clever automation.
